Return Policy

Our product is customized to fit your provided specification and cannot be returned, unless in rare cases where the product is defective.  See defective product return policy below.  We cannot resale a customized product to other customers.  Our return policy for other situations, such as shipping damage and the rare defective item is further explained below.

Defective Items

We offer a one year warranty for all manufacturer's defects (one year from date of purchase). Defective products are rare and can be exchanged or repaired at BocaShade's discretion within one year of receiving your order. Note that all returned products that are claimed defective are tested by our technicians. If found defective, replacement parts are sent free of charge to the customer by BocaShade. BocaShade is not responsible for installation costs of replacement parts.


BocaShade warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will be suitable for form, fit and function for one (1) year as follows:  Installation Kit and Sunbrella® Marine Canvas: One year parts warranty. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is effective upon date of shipment from BocaShade. All claims under this warranty must be accompanied by the original sales receipt and or the purchasers' original PO number and date of purchase. This warranty is conditional provided that such products were installed and operated in accordance with BocaShade instructions. The obligation of BocaShade is limited to the repair or replacement, at our discretion, of the defective part(s) only. This warranty does not cover damages, including but not limited to, those resulting from shipping, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear from exposure to the weather elements, terrorism, sabotage, acts of God, or failure to follow BocaShade instructions. In no event shall BocaShade be held liable or responsible for the act or expense of removal or installation of defective products, incidental, consequential or liquidated damages or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense or fee.

Shipping Damage

We cannot be held responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged items if there is no notation on the freight bill of lading. If you are unable to inspect the contents at the time of delivery, make a notation on the freight bill of lading / waybill that there appears to be some damage.

Order Cancellation

Once you place an order at BocaShade, your order is then forwarded to our customization center to begin work on your custom order. If you change your mind and wish to cancel an order within 24 hours from the date and time of purchase, we will be able to confirm cancellation but you may be responsible for the expense of any customization work done on your order.  No cancellations may be made after 24 hours.
